Babaśki is a project that maintains the tradition of storytelling and fairy tales and draws attention to their important role in the life of the individual. It is an artistic and research project. It is implemented in selected small towns and villages in Poland.

As part of the project, I organized meetings with women, introducing the topic of symbols in fairy tales, and highlighting the important role of fairy tales in our personal growth. In addition, I recorded fairy tales and stories told me by women.

On the end of the project I had organised an exhibition contained 6 fairy tales recorded during my travels along with a visual layer that highlighted the symbolism of the story. All films and voice records were placed in artistic installation. The choice of fairy tales was not accidental, the whole installation is supposed to talk about the transformation process, the initiation and development of an individual, a woman. A very important part of the project is the study of symbols and theirs functioning for centuries. Artistic objects prepared for the exhibition referred to these symbols.

The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for 2019.
